Verena's new CD

Well, today is a really wonderful day for me....
just received Verena's new CD " Something Real" ...and so it is...listen to this, it's really beautiful...words and music and such a beautiful voice...I don't think there is anyone who can sing or has a voice like her, so high, so individual and such an ethereal sound.
I am so proud of her accomplishments...now the world has to discover her and we are on the way!!!
The joys of motherhood!...birthing a voice I think is harder than the actual delivery of a baby ...it certainly takes longer, takes much more effort and lasts a lifetime.
Congrads my dear...onward and upward and into greatness!!!

Thank you so much!!! I really does feel like having given birth (the pain as well as the joy!!)
I know I have said it before but one more time for the record: I could have never done it without you!!!
Love Verena

I sang for one of the opening Parties for Miami Fashion week last night, sponsored by Tiffany and CO. Some of it was Televised and the anchor from channel 7 (her names escapes my memory) introduces me as "Verena from Puerto Rico". She walks over to me to hand me the microphone, once more referring to me as Verena from Puerto Rico at which point I took the opportunity to set the record straight and advice the crowed of my German heritage!!
So that was the first little hick up (though it ended up as a fun ice breaker as I rectified the situation pointing out that while I was going to go with her story I didn't feel the guest would buy it, given my complexion...(I'm a little snow white)

Moments after I find myself on stage with 3 TV cameras shoved into my face mixed in with several camera flashes going off. I was basically blinded and confused but managed to keep singing (surprisingly on pitch as was pointed out to me later).
Additionally a freezing breeze came from the ocean (My stage was right there) and I was shivering like crazy fearing my jittering teeth were going to be heard by the audience but again I managed to keep it together. I did forget to repeat the last chorus but sort of faked my way through it with humming and dancing a little and SMILE....if in doubt SMILE!!!
Miriam says if I'll do it another 50 times I will finally "be cool"!!! I can't wait!
