Well, the book is a bit delayed due to 'technical' snags, but on the way well enough to be able to say that hopefully by September we will be published. I am including much more information this time, including comments of people who have written to me over the past number of years and institutions who basically have snubbed their noses at me and who will not all me their forums. The new book also serves as an accusation of all those out there who are 'abusing' their students and who are portraying themselves to be something they are not and charging tens of thousands of dollars for 'nothing'. I am braking myths and unblocking all the doors. I have had it with the teachers who charge lesson ahead of time to make sure they get their money, with those who promise 'big careers' and fulfill nothing and worst of all hound their students to come back to them. IWhen all is said and done, we will launch the book though Amazon.com and I expect great to make a great difference.

BEGIN AT THE BEGINNING AND GO THROUGH EACH SEGMENT OTHERWISE YOU WILL GET MIXED UP AND THIS WILL ONLY SERVE TO CONFUSE.

Many of you are leaving for the summer. Enjoy and come back refreshed and ready for work. I am going to be in Europe for about 10 days, but will spend most of the summer here. This is my first timing posting on this blog of a dear friend & mentor, Miriam Arman! I found Miriam in 2002. I was having vocal breakdown due to lack of technique that would actually function in real world, professional situations. I was attracted to the title of Miriam's book, in particular, the part about "A SPIRITUAL APPROACH to speaking & singing" because for me indeed with the voice is my lifeline! It is more than just a "thing", some appendage, some body part! Its my connection to all things wonderful, beautiful & divine!
SO, working steadily with Miriam I moved from being diagnosed with the BEGINNINGS of vocal nodes to total health, freedom & vocal recovery! I found myself nailing performances & recording dates & writing music that lead me into areas of my voice that were previously INACCESSIBLE!
In 2003, I returned from South Florida where both Miriam & I were based, back to Washington, D.C., my hometown. She would come to NYC once a month & I would travel up for lessons & work on my own on a daily basis. In 2004, I signed with my current record label & from that time to present writing, June 26th, 2008, I have been fortunate to have had FIVE Top 10 Billboard Club Hits! I attribute that to a few things, great songs, great production, luck AND MOST importantly that the VOICE was where it needed to be to capture the ear and the support of audiences & the music industry!
As fate would have it, Miriam & I would wind up living within a MILE of each other when I finally took the plunge & moved to NYC in 2006! We resumed working together as regularly as possible. Since that time many new challenges have presented themselves in light of the success gained as a result of the work Miriam & I did together. But 1 thing remains the same, the love & connection & devotion that Miriam has shown me since I walked through her door 6 years ago.
There is much more to say but this is an overview of our history together & I look forward to contributing to this forum again soon!
